Monsoonal Imaginaries
The water percolation simulation shown above, was featured in Monsoon [+ Other] Waters (2019) publication, edited by Lindsey Bremner. The work was part of the Monsoon Assemblages research project, funded by the EU.
Using time based fluid dynamic software, the simulation aims to develop new ways of depicting monsoonal sites, territories and phenomena at and across multiple scales. Next Technologies package RealFlow has allowed water percolation through the different layers of the earth to be conceptualised as a way of awakening a monsoonal imaginary.
